Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer – Remote

Summary:

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead and manage the quality assurance efforts for our projects. The Senior QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, managing test teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
2. Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers, providing guidance and support in test planning and execution.
3. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
4. Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for regression testing and continuous integration.
5. Perform manual testing when necessary, documenting and tracking defects, and ensuring timely resolution.
6. Conduct performance testing, load testing, and stress testing to evaluate system reliability and performance.
7. Implement and promote best practices for test automation, test case design, and defect management.
8. Participate in the release management process to ensure the successful delivery of quality software products.
9. Continuously assess and improve the QA process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience of 4+ years as a QA Engineer or Senior QA Engineer in a software development environment.
3. Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
5. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
6. Excellent understanding of QA methodologies, test processes, and software development lifecycles.
7. Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
